simple teaching tools for busy moms
Are you a regular zoo goer looking for new ideas to keep your visits exciting? Or are you completing a Zoo unit and looking for an additional activity for your unit?
Take your children on a scavenger hunt to turn an ordinary zoo outing into an adventure as your children look for specific animals or animal characteristics.
One of our first projects this school year was an All About Me book that our children absolutely loved creating. While working on the project, two of the kids exclaimed “this is so much fun!” I admit, it’s such a joy when the children are excited about the things we are working on. 🙂
Since homeschooling allows for a lot of flexibility, why not take advantage of it and have some fun?
I wanted to start the school year off with a bang so I put together a treasure hunt for the kids to find some of their school supplies and other items we’ll be using this school year.
Receiving new curriculum materials in the mail is like opening a gift on Christmas morning! It is exciting to look at the new materials and books and anticipate all the learning that will take place in the upcoming school year. In reality, all of our homeschooling days won’t necessarily be fun. Both the kids and I won’t necessarily want to do the work each and every day but I know we will have many good days too. It’s exciting to think of the possibilities that lay ahead and the idea of it all.
Do you feel uncertain about what to work on with your preschooler to help them develop the necessary skills to begin reading? Are you looking for materials and a structured program for your preschooler to learn pre-reading skills at home? If so, you might want to consider the All About Reading Pre-reading program for your child.
